So theoretically the issue may go back to 2.6.24 (Hardy) times which saw

    [SCSI] sym53c8xx: Use scmd_printk where appropriate

which adds the printk's that directly go for the cp->cmd. At least from
the kernel side. Then there is still the possible hardware side. Or
certain things that happen depending on certain error conditions that do
not need to happen all the times.
