Adding INIT_HALT = POWEROFF to /etc/default/halt did not solve my problem. The only thing that seems to work for me is to use a different kernel and not use any Nvidia drivers.
What do I need to do to change the status of this bug from incomplete? Does incomplete mean that no one will work on fixing the bug?
