I messed with this quite a bit tonight.  I upgraded from 10.04 to 12.04
(over wireless, btw) and upon restart, built-in wireless card pci id:
14e4:4315   was useless.  Kept trying to follow suggestions and none
seemed to work.  Realized that the upgrade process had *disabled* the
restricted drivers repository!  As soon as I re-enabled that, Additonal
Drivers (jokey) installed the driver properly.  Aggravating waste of
time.  Hope this will help someone.
