this may be marked as a duplicate of #982710 should not be. But I have
been affected by the exact same problem as #992795 without the the
degraded performance noted in #982710. Unlike bug #991878 it doesn't
just occur when involving flash.

upgraded from 11.10 to 12.04 LTS last night and since then I have had
segfaulting xorg at very random intervals, hasn't seemed to happen while
the system is sitting idle, has happened while browsing (firefox+flash,
firefox-no flash content) while importing in rythmbox (rythmbox segfault
also) and simply while trying to config fldigi.

system is AMD64, 64bit ubuntu 12.04LTS, nvidia g92 (geforce 9800 GT) and 
nvidia-current installed. 
have removed nvidia-current to see if there lies the cause...
