I have this same problem! It's so annoing... I hoped that LTS version will be more stable but its horor! Even developing version is more stable. So much bugs and problems with current version...
Anyway, i have this specs: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 240 Asrock N68PV-GS 4GB RAM Zotac Geforce 250 GTS Maybe it's related to Geforce driver cause 9800GTX is the same card just older type. But i am not sure.
