This bug is still present in precise. However, the following workaround works for me: * log in * echo 1 | sudo tee /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/power_save * echo Y | sudo tee /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/power_save_controller * pkill pulseaudio * log out & log in again (so pulseaudio gets restarted)
However just inserting "options snd-hda-intel power_save=1 power_save_controller=Y" in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf doesn't work.
