I think this bug is spesific to the Norwegian translation. Changing the
language to English fixes this problem for me.
How to reproduce:
1. Open "Language Support"
2. Install Norwegian Bokmål if not installed already, then drag "Norsk, bokmål
(Norge)" to the top of the list.
3. Apply system-wide (I don't know if this is necessary)
4. Log out and log in again
5. Open "Synaptic pakkebehandler", type in password as usual
6. Shortly after its window appears, it will crash
(to change language back to what you usually use, open "Språkstøtte")
Workaround:
Drag "English" to the top of the language list in "Language Support"
("Språkstøtte" in Norwegian), then log out and in again.
Synaptic Package Manager should now open without crashing.
