Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 12.04

Ubuntu systematically fails to restart the laptop. Every time restart is
demanded, Ubuntu is shut down, the machine halts, then the fans seem to start
again (I'm not really sure if there is a start again or not), and then power
off at once, even before any Bios's POST. However, other OS's don't have any
problem restarting the computer, I have Ms Windows in dual boot that does it
perfectly, so it has to do with Ubuntu.
The bug was at least already in 11.10 (thought it was too obvious to be worth
reporting, but I was wrong, sorry!)
Btw, I run an Acer One, if that can help.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
