I can help testing thing if needed. I'm currently running natty on my macbookpro 6,2 and I'd like to do a fresh install of precise.
I'd like to add a few things though. Besides experiencing all that has been already described, I tried the "Install ubuntu" option from efi grub, and adding nomodeset to boot options I was able to complete the install. Unfortunately I couldn't boot the new install, It failed in the same way the 'Try ubuntu without installing' was failing. And it installed grub to the efi partition, even though I selected the partition in which I installed it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/986149 Title: crash while booting MacBook Pro 6,2 from USB To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/986149/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
