Updating my Mandriva Linux system has been without this manual intervention. This has been a growing problem with Ubuntu Linux where the wrong software sources are automatically used. Should this continue to happen where Ubuntu causes these upgrade problems where other Linux distros like Mandriva does not? As it is now, to continue using Ubuntu one needs to learn several caveat emptors or buyers/users bewares.
Changing to Main Server for downloading did work here but, are we going to always need this piece meal learning way of life? ie having a problem yet again, posting it to learn once again that a simple change is needed which Ubuntu didn't take care of. That is, this upgrade did get past that missing files problem but, now I have a hard disk space issue, it tells me.... But, this problem is solved!
