Public bug reported:

If I start the computer the sound is ok. If then I suspend, after resume the
sound in rhythmbox is clipped and distorted.
If I log out and log in again the sound is back to normal.
The strange thins is that if after suspend, when the sound is bad, I digit
aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav
the sound I hear is ok.
If I play the same mp3 that in rhythmbox is clipping with
mpg123 /my/favorite/song.mp3
the sound is ok.
If I play it with totem the sound is clipped
If I play it with vlc the sound is clipped but (it seems) less than with totem
and rhythmbox
If I play it with clvc (command line dummy interface) the sound is ok.

So it seems to me that this bug is somehow resource related. Heavier programs
has wirst sound.
Let me know if you need more info or more tests.
Thanks,

               Gianpaolo
