Hi. It would appear that 12.04 CD boots with acpi=off specified.
I am now at the stage where I have an installed OS that won't boot. I get to a flashing grey screen now. The upside is that I can now perform a blind login and issue a shutdown (I have tried switching monitors to see command line, but it is a basic one and reports an incorrect resolution). If I can setup ssh (blindly, of course), I should be able to login remotely and run the apport command. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/991068 Title: Ubuntu wont boot or install due to incorrect monitor setup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/991068/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
