I have the problem that when I change the screen brightness via the fn keys or the system configuration panel, I get an increase in brightness for maybe half a second and then it goes back to some default. Same for key backlighting
My /sys/class/backlight folder has two dirs: acpi_video0 and intel_backlight when I run echo 4880 | sudo tee /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness the screen actually gets brighter for more than half a second, but it dims down again after about 3 seconds. The degree of dimness seems to fluctuate with ambient light. Maybe the program in charge of changing the brightness dynamically according to ambient light is not getting the point that I want a specific brightness? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/988202 Title: Ubuntu cannot automatically change brightness of screen and keyboard backlight in Macbook Air 4,2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/988202/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
