I am trying to buy some software in the Software Center (free games from
EA)

When trying to do this, first it says that it's contacting the payment service. 
Then it says:

    Processing your request for “Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances”…

    """"
with some loading animation above. It blinks now and then, but nothing happens.

Installation of non-commercial software works fine.
