The way I see it, there are two major problems which are neither
acknowledged nor being discussed:

• The prioritisation of bugs is severely out of kilter with the
priorities that users expect. This may be because BugZilla provides no
realistic means for users to express their priorities (e.g. ranked-
choice voting). You can fix this by fixing BugZilla. Until you do, users
will continue to attempt to express it via off-topic comments.

• Off-topic comments (such as this one) hamper your work. This is as
much a problem with BugZilla as it is with the hundreds of commenters.
You can fix this by fixing BugZilla (e.g. comment rating system). You’re
attempting instead the much less realistic option of “fixing” the
hundreds of commenters, including future ones, by posting *even more*
off-topic comments.
