If only one sound card installed:
~$Alsamixer
cannot open mixer: No such file or directory
Also ReZound can not play anything with error trying to press play
button:
void CSoundPlayerChannel::play(sample_pos_t, CSoundPlayerChannel::LoopTypes,
bool)
-- the sound player is not initialized

The standard media player works properly.
But connecting any second sound card (USB & embedded or USB & USB but embedded
card blacklisted) solves these problems.
But PCBeep doesn't beep if connecting from one to three sound cards.
The OS is Ubuntu 11.04 x64
The Notebook is Acer Extensa 5620Z with Pentium dual-core processor
