Frank,
I tried to reproduce this issue on Ubuntu 7.04 and was unable to. The
page preview pops up immediately and doesn't show a spike in CPU
utilization on my system monitor.
Can you try that version out and let me know if it still affects you?
Also what speed CPU and amount of memory does your system have?
