Public bug reported:

I'm using gutsy, update-manager version 1:0.63.

I start update-manager from a terminal, the terminal output is:

current dist not found in meta-release file

The GUI says "not all updates can be installed". I can choose "partial upgrade"
or "cancel".
If I choose "partial upgrade", I get the following terminal output:

  File "/usr/bin/update-manager", line 69, in <module>
    from DistUpgrade.DistUpgradeView import STEP_PREPARE, STEP_MODIFY_SOURCES,
STEP_FETCH_INSTALL, STEP_CLEANUP, STEP_REBOOT
ImportError: cannot import name STEP_FETCH_INSTALL

Then update-manager closes unexpectedly.

** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
