Quite honestly a more integrated error would be better. Like have knh
detect whether it is running in a live session or not, and if t is it
would simply display a warning that not all software is available in a
live session and that the user is invited to properly install kubuntu.

So I'd really see two bugs here 
a) knh not educating the user about the limited abilities of the livecd and 
offering them a full install 
b) qapt-batch apparently not erroring out properly
