** Attachment added: "TopShadow.png"

https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/998442/+attachment/3142864/+files/TopShadow.png

** Description changed:

When a window is maximized, it 'connects' to the panel at the top of the
screen to give the illusion that it is part of it. In Ubuntu 12.04,
however, bringing a non-maximized window to the front of the maximized
one causes the top bar to make a shadow over the maximized window -
breaking the illusion that it is now 'part' of the panel. See the
screenshot - you will see that the maximized Firefox now seems to be
'underneath' the panel instead of being connected to it, despite its
close and minimize and maximize buttons being part of the panel.

- It just seems like a bit of a visual design flaw.
+ It just seems like a bit of a visual design inconsistency.
