Public bug reported:
I am computer literate but not Ubuntu literate.
I can navigate and use Ubuntu but when it comes to under the bonnet I really
have no idea.
I can only tell you that everytime you do a major upgrade, it really
gives me a headache as I lose my Cairo Dock which is not easy to install
(I don't understand why).
I do not use the unity interface down the left hand side unless my cairo
dock is not working (ie after an upgrade)
Why is it that the Cairo Dock cannot become part of the Ubuntu
distribution?
I am sorry I could not find anywhere else to give this feedback. I know
other people (cairo dock users) also are suffering.
If you don't want to include Cairo Dock then maybe a provision to allow
us to retain our Cairo Docks?
At the end of the day, Linux is about choice... please give us the
choice in such an important part of this operating system.
Thank you
BTW I am 11.10 and about to upgrade to 12.04 mainly because current
networking is really slow on upload. Everything times out and I haveto
boot into windows to simply attach a 50K open office file!
