Thanks for your response. I can confirm that it doesn't work in real-
time and there is a bug for that on audacious bug tracker:

I guess the bug could still be present, so I will leave this as 'New'
status. IF you're really sure about the code fix, then I suggest
reporting it as an issue on the audacious bugtracker (or I will do it
for you if you wish as I already have a login).
