I've got this same issue as well on my Sony VPC-SA
I tried this with the latest upstream, on a clean-install with only some
small power-saving tweaks.
Most importantly is probably: I disable the radeon with vgaswitcheroo on
startup:

and during standby/resume I restart the radeon by pushing ON/OFF in
