** Description changed:
Laptop has internal panel
External display connected via displayport.
External monitor is above my laptop screen (it's physically positioned
on a book further back on the same desk) so not side-by-side.
I want to adjust my laptop display brightness so I use the brightness
controls on the laptop itself.
The notification that the brightness has changed appears on the external
monitor (which I am not adjusting the brightness of) instead of the
laptop I am currently adjusting the brightness of, and am looking at.
(first screenshot)
Note that if I slide my external screen to the side slightly in display
properties, the notification appears in the laptop instead. (second
screenshot)
