I still get random behaviour. Some packages go into the launcher, some
don't. This is on a number of systems including fresh installs and
upgrades from 11.10. I just installed Super Tux, Super Tux 2, Pingus and
0 A.D. and only 0 A.D. went into the launcher bar and displayed a
progress bar when it installed. The others I have to search out in the
dash.

I'll run apport now.

** Description changed:

- Up until recently, when I installed new apps on my machines I had the
- icon appear in the launcher with a progress bar. it appears to have
- disappeared after some updates. I have the 'New applications in
- launcher' option ticked on the menu and this is happening on all of my
- machines so this appears to be a regression bug.
