*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 973096 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/973096
As Simon Morris said in bug #973096
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/973096) it seems to reduce the crashes
but I recently had one.. For me is something with flash since it only
happens to me watching youtube videos. I've also switched to the HTML5
version of youtube to see if that's the problem.. anyway videos with ads
are still showing using flash
For editing the xorg.conf file you have to open a terminal and execute:
$ sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
If you don't have a Section "Device" you can add
Section "Device"
Identifier "Device0"
Driver "nvidia"
VendorName "NVIDIA Corporation"
Option "NoLogo" "True"
Option "UseEvents" "False"
EndSection
Reboot or go to text mode (ctrl+alt+F1) and execute:
$ sudo service lightdm restart
I'll start to post in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/973096 since this
is a duplicated entry.
Cheers
Leandro.
