Public bug reported:
I have many display corruption since I upgraded my system to 12.04 (11.10 was
working fine).
The computer is a dell precision T1500 with a radeon graphic card (firepro 2260
according to lspci).
I had some old settings in xorg.conf, removing the file completely did not
solve the problem.
corruption mostly affect gnome-terminal, but also the titlebar, tabs and URL
bar in google-chrome as well as text in some dialogs.
This happens in all desktop environment I tested: unity, unity2d, gnome-shell,
old gnome (compiz or metacity).
in gnome-terminal, corruption often appear or disappear when showing large
amounts of text or hitting enter (scrolling) or changing tab.
I would be glad to attach more information using ubuntu-bugs but the
page opened for it has been stuck "reloading every 10 seconds" for the
last 5 minutes, so here is a short summary:
I will be happy to provide additional informations, test Xorg options
