A common operation for me is to maximize a window and set it to "always
on top" or "always on visible workspace."

Unity makes this slightly more difficult than it should be.  When the
window is maximized, its context menu (the menu you normally get by
right-clicking the title bar) is inaccessible to the mouse.  This is
asymetric from the behavior when a window is not maximized.

(And yes, I do know about alt-space. )
