Do you have the newst Dell BIOS? My computer at some point (without
upgrade...) started to overheat too.

If not, try downloading the newest BIOS image installer from Dell:
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/DriverFileFormats?c=&s=&cs=&l=&DriverId=R286251

Unfortunately this will require a Windows or DOS system being installed on your 
computer to run, if you don't have one you could try the following guide for 
installing a bootable DOS CD-Rom:
