I got the same problem when upgrading to 12.04. The following solves the
issue for me:
sudo mkdir /etc/adobe
echo -e "EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode=1\nOverrideGPUValidation=true" | sudo tee
/etc/adobe/mms.cfg > /dev/null
