Public bug reported:
I tried to open the mc menu when I obtained an error message at the
bottom of the mc program window "segmentation fault, dump written."
Moving the cursor then produces a lot of identical characters on this
status line as long as I kept moving the cursor.
Bug #116774 is similarto mine.
