Same issue as well... NM shows connected, I receive a DHCP lease... but
attempting to ping anything other than my local interfaces is a fail.

I've tried to narrow it down to kernel versions, backported wireless,
etc... nothing helped.

I did notice after first installing 12.04, network manager exhibited the
same behavior on any _new_ wireless AP. I would have to associate, then
reboot in order to have it working properly. Now, it just doesnt work...
