Public bug reported: Hardware/software used:
Epson BX635FWD printer/scanner over wi-fi connection - firmware: KR27BB 57.57 Ubuntu 12.04 LTS libsane-epkowa.so.1.0.15 gscan2pdf 0.9.32 Image Scan! for Linux also installed on machine (from http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/search/01/search/?OSC=LX) iscan_2.28.1-3.ltdl7 iscan-network-nt-1.1.0-2 Description of problem: gscan2pdf connects to the scanner fine and (correctly) shows options of [Scan source] = "Flatbed"/"Automatic document feeder" [ADF Mode] = "Simplex"/"Duplex" under "Optional equipment" tab. However, when "Automatic document feeder" and "Duplex" are selected, "Page Options" tab gives only the options of [Side to scan] = "Facing"/"Reverse" - there is no "Both" option to scan both sides, even when [Source document] = "Double sided" is selected. Resultant behaviour when scanning using ADF Duplex mode is that both sides are scanned, but reverse pages come out 180 degrees inverted. Changing post-processing options does not correct this as gscan2pdf seemingly does not differentiate between the facing/reverse pages from epkowa's output. The only fix at present seems to be to manually correct the output each time. ** Affects: gscan2pdf (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1001208 Title: gscan2pdf not recognising ADF duplex mode with Epson epkowa library To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gscan2pdf/+bug/1001208/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
