For those inclined to build the gst-plugins-bad0.10.22.3-2ubuntu2 source
here is a patch for gsth264parse that seems to work ok here (also has a
small gsth263parse change

Obviously it would be better if someone who knows (& cares) about
gstreamer* took care of this in whatever manner deemed appropriate
