I am currently checking whether a trailing slash in $HOME should even be valid. From what I'm seeing, it isn't / shouldn't be, as such a trailing slash does change the behaviour of more programs than texlive.
https://common.helixcommunity.org/2004/devdocs/quickstart http://www.topwebhosts.org/articles/rsync-backup.php I see this more as a bug against whatever you used to get a trailing slash in $HOME rather than a bug against texlive. Did a graphical program or the installer give you a $HOME with trailing slash, or was it a typo in a system application? If it was the former, then I will check it out for you and file a bug and / or change request against that particular tool. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231883 Title: Texlive/pdflatex is very slow on Gutsy/Hardy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/texlive-base/+bug/231883/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
