It sounds like your computer is pretty much useable and you'll be better off getting support from the following sources than sitting around waiting for some software to change:
See the following places for support: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=331 http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community/chat (the #ubuntu IRC channel) My suggestion as a preliminary step is, if you can get to the terminal, type the following command after you plug a USB mouse or your KVM: dmesg That will print out a lot, but if your mouse doesn't work there will usually be an error message for you that can help find out what your issue is. This is best done from a remote computer if you can as it is evidently difficult to get logs off the affected computer. --- Ubuntu Bug Squad volunteer triager http://wiki.ubuntu.com/BugSquad -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1000838 Title: mouse and keyboard not working after 12.04 update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1000838/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
