I also recieved a notification that ubi language had crashed previous to this 
before ubiquity completely crashed.
I had updated 12.04 to 12.10 and it was running, however, with some updating 
problems. I downloaded the iso daily build and was replacing the upgraded 
version of 12.10, however, I had reformatted the partition before starting the 
install.  I have not seen these problems with ubiquity on this particular 
machine since 11.10. I'll try and install again with a different daily build 
next week.
