Well, the bug, in my eyes seems to be that launchpad relies in the referrer for login, which a) may not be available (and will lead to an wrong error page), and b) may be arbitrarily faked by a browser (so launchpad should not rely on it).
I am not where you track bugs on launchpad but I would consider it a bug of launchpad. If there is another bugtracker for launchpad, please be so kind to refer me to it.
