I think that's part of the problem since on Lucid I need to use the "output:iec958-surround-40+input:iec958-stereo: Digital Surround 4.0 (IEC958) Output + Digital Stereo (IEC958) Input (sinks: 1, sources: 1, priority. 155)" profile to have the sound working.
