Ok, I rebooted several times and sound refused to work. So I ran:
sudo rm -r ~username/.pulse* #to delete the .pulse-cookie file, as well as the folder .pulse/ sudo rm -r /tmp/pulse-* #to delete all those weird numbered pulseaudio folders in /tmp/. And rebooted. That made it work on the next boot. I don't know if this helps or not. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1001801 Title: [System Product Name, VIA VT1708S, Green Line Out, Rear] Pulseaudio fails to detect card To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1001801/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
