"stable" also includes fixes to "staging" drivers. I think there are two reasons why it is not included (yet): - no one submitted it to [email protected] yet - because it doesn't fix a bug (which is stable requirement) It is up to the distros to fix their kernel configs (which are not part of the upstream kernel).
