I see also same effect, after upgrading to Precise (final), and same happened to a laptop freshly installed with Precise.
When I select Ambiance theme (or some Ambiance-derived themes, like AmbianceOneiric, Ambiance-Shiki) the text in some applets like username in 'Indicator Applet Session' is shown with correct color (I believe it's the @dark_fg_color) while in other cases like the 'Clock' applet or the text for the Application and Places menus are shown in a barely visible dark color. Font in use is the default 'Ubuntu' one. When switching to some other light-on-dark theme like e.g. LowContrast, all text is shown correctly, and same for dark-on-light themes like Radiance. gnome-panel is latest current version (1:3.4.1-0ubuntu1) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/948913 Title: some applets don't adapt theme colors properly on Precise To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/948913/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
