Public bug reported: After recent firefox /mozilla related updates, seamonkey on lucid (LTS) now crashes on many sites. Probably some component got out of sync, or the same bug as requiring the upgrade of debian to 2.1.11-12 plays a role.
The seamonkey suite in lucied (LTS) is apparently in sync with debian squeeze http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/iceape A way to handle this bug is to upgrade seamonkey to a version of the same age as the current firefox in lucid: 12.0. That firefox update is applied in lucid, but this would require to upgrade seamonkey to 2.9.1 as well. This would also update all security bugs solved since 2.0.11 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: seamonkey 2.0.11+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.10.04.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-41.88-generic-pae 2.6.32.59+drm33.24 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-41-generic-pae i686 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx Architecture: i386 Date: Mon May 21 20:51:53 2012 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release i386 (20100816.1) PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: seamonkey ** Affects: seamonkey (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 lucid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1002437 Title: regression: seamonkey crashes with Segmentation fault To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/seamonkey/+bug/1002437/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
