I hope I had nailed the correct package. 
Since upgrading to Ubuntu 12.04, it seems I had lost the possibility of 
choosing printer option via system settings -> printer panel. As you can see in 
the screenshot, there are no options available in the application; while I have 
a whole set of options if I use CUPS localhost:631 interface. 
I discovered it because on the upgrade the system lost the notion of the 
"Installed duplexer" and I was not able to reset it. 
I understand that a simplified interface is better, but this seems a bit too 
much...
