The package is failing to install due to a configuration error in your
/etc/default/grub file which is attached to this bug report. You seem
to be using unicode quotes instead of ascii quotes in the following
line:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash”
you want to have
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
