Results: 1) Good news: by commenting out dnsmasq, it *SEEMS* to work well. Why I say "seems"? Because before that it is also able to connect "sometimes". So I need to test longer, especially see if I can still connect next morning...
2) This problem ONLY happens after install 12.04, it does not happen in 11.10 or earlier (same hardware). Also after this problem happens I suspected its ubuntu problem, and removed 12.04, installed Fedora 16, SAME problem, then I revered back to Ubuntu and did other tests. 3) The most strange issue, even you confirmed it is dnsmasq related, is that it seems related to location of the laptop! BTW, if it is OK next morning, I will try to uncomment dnsmasq see if the problem reappear or not. I will report back. thanks. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1000208 Title: wifi network get disconnected periodically To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1000208/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
