** Description changed:

  This is a follow-up of bug 964893.
Increased memory usage does not occur on guest account and not on laptop,
both don't have compiz cube setup. So I'm aware this one won't have priority as
it doesn't have standard setup, however it isn't a minority setup and might be
worth an investigation.

There is again a ~2 GB increase of memory usage when opening hud on firefox
full screen mode.
Firefox isn't responsible for ~2 min.
When it all (cpu, mem) settled switch to another workspace open e.g.
gnome-system-monitor and close it again.
Switching back to the workspace where firefox is will immediately increase
memory of firefox, hud- and unity-service.

Workaround is to kill HUD by pid which will settle everything to normal
  values.
+
+ The issue only correlates with firefox. GEdit, libreoffice, totem and
+ others aren't affected.
