Relating to Antonino, not sure this is the case - - I will check the BIOS is not still set to USB boot and report back. However, this original BUG post, I feel is related, corresponds to, a conflict between the AMD and OpenSource Drivers. As specified in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend if anyone does try this please report back... Thanks
