Public bug reported:

Summary:
I can't print the attached pdf file using evince in Ubuntu 12.04. The pdf
prints fine using epdfviewer. Text documents print fine too.

Problem details:
When trying to print that pdf using evince the cpu load goes to 100%. The
ghostscript (gs) process is the cause of this. When I let it run, it breaks the
printer functionality. I've to plug the usb into another port to make the
printer print again (printer is attached to a Windows 7 computer).

Printer:
HP Laserjet 1018
I'm printing via the network using smb://ip-adress/printername. The printer is
attached to a Windows 7 computer that shares it on the network.

Driver:
HP LaserJet 1018 Foomatic/foo2zjs-z1 (recommended)

OS:
Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Release: 12.04

Version of Evince:
evince:
  Geïnstalleerd: 3.4.0-0ubuntu1
  Kandidaat: 3.4.0-0ubuntu1
  Versietabel:
 *** 3.4.0-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://nl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

** Affects: evince (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
