dlopen() crashing on a trivial plugin. That file does not even have a
constructor function inside. I don't see how this could be a VLC bug nor
a libc bug...
If the bug persists, it may be caused by corrupted installation. Please
remove vlc-nox and reinstall VLC. And then check your hard drive
integrity.
